Managing Partner Emilio De Piazza

Emilio De Piazza has more than 40 years of experience in the Italian Food & Beverage industry.
His career includes many prominent positions. For instance, he was Chairman and CEO of Buonitalia Spa, the Public Agency created by the Ministry of Agriculture to promote authentic Italian food products to an international audience. Before that, he worked as CEO of Fiere di Parma Spa, a city-run tradeshow company, which is known for hosting Cibus, one of the most important Italian food trade shows around the world. As an expert within the National Confederation of Italian Industries, Emilio was president of the Association of Italian Confectionery for 6 years. Emilio De Piazza began his career at Fonti Levissima, where he steadily advanced and, in just over a decade, rose from Product Manager to Commercial Director (Marketing & Sales). In 1982, he was hired by Unilever Italy, entrusting him with the role of General Manager of the Trading Ice Cream Business Unit (Algida). In 1988, he moved on to the Barilla Group, where he held various managerial positions, alternating line responsibilities (General Manager of Pasta Division and G.M. of Bakery Division) and staffing responsibilities (Group HR Director, Chairman Officer and Director of Corporate Communications).
Emilio De Piazza graduated from Bocconi University in Milan, and attended the Senior Executive Program at the London Business School.
